| Mirko R. Jankov II, MD PhD, |
had his medical degree with honours in from University of Belgrade,
Serbia and Montenegro. He completed his residence in Ophthalmology
and clinical fellowship in Cornea and Refractive surgery from the
University of Santa Casa, Brazil and was a research fellow of prof.
Dr Dr Theo Seiler at the University of Zurich, Switzerland and of
prof. Dr. Ioannis Pallikaris at the Vardinoyannion Eye Institute,
University of Crete, Greece. He has worked as a chief refractive
surgeon at Instituto de Oftalmologia de Curitiba, Brazil, as well as
a scientific and medical consultant for WaveLight Laser Technologie
AG, Erlangen, Germany. He completed his PhD in Bioengineering at the
Federal University of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Currently Mirko Jankov is a chief refractive and anterior segment
surgeon at Milos Eye Hospital – US Medical Academy, Belgrade,
Serbia. He authored more than 100 papers, book chapters and
presentations, and is a member of several international ophthalmic
societies. Mirko Jankov is pursuing his clinical and research
production in the field of refractive surgery and clinical optics. |

| Joachim Löffler, Dipl. Ing, |
 earned his engineering degree in Micro-Technologies from the University of Applied Sciences, Nürnberg, Germany. He held a scholarship of Siemens Medical Technologies, Erlangen, Germany. His professional experience includes ten years as design engineer and project manager for ophthalmic laser systems with Meditec Reinhard Thyzel GmbH, Heroldsberg, Germany), three years as independent design consultant for medical technology and four years as product manager, clinical educator and study manager for refractive laser systems with WaveLight Laser Technologie AG, Erlangen, Germany.
He is co-founder and managing director of New Wave Consulting GmbH, Heroldsberg, Germany, focusing on clinical education and clinical studies for ophthalmic technologies. Joachim Löffler is certified trainer for the WaveLight Allegretto Laser System. |

| Michael Mrochen, PhD, |
received his PhD in medical physics and engineering with “magna cum laude” from the Technical University of Dresden, Germany. His thesis title was “Erbium:YAG Lasers for Photorefractive Surgery.”
Today, he is a lecturer at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, Switzerland, and at the University of Applied Science in Isny, Germany. Dr. Mrochen lectures “Lasers in Medicine”, “Medical Optics” as well as “Laser technology and physics”. He is also president and general manager at the Institute for Refractive and Ophthalmologic Surgery (IROC) in Zurich.
Dr. Mrochen is the author of more than 150 book chapters, papers, and presentations including more than 40 original articles published in scientific journals. He was scientific consultant more that 15 leading companies in the field of refractive surgery. Michael Mrochen is program chair and organizer of several leading international congresses including the Wavefront Congress, Ophthalmology Technologies (SPIE) and the Corneal Cross linking Congress. |

| Prof. Theo Seiler, MD PhD |
|
completed his studies in medicine, mathematics, and physics, as well as residency in ophthalmology, at the Universities of Heidelberg and Berlin, Germany. He obtained his professorship in ophthalmology at Federal University of Berlin, Germany, and University of Zurich, Switzerland. He has been honoured with various international awards: Achsenfeld-Award (DOG), Khing Khaled-Award(SAOS), Binkhorst Award (AAO), Burraquer Award (AAO), Greafe Award (DOG) and Honour Award (AAO). Dr. Seiler is specialist in corneal and refractive therapy, physiologic optics, laser in ophthalmology, adn anterior segment surgery at the Institute for Refractive and Ophthalmology Surgery (IROC) in Zurich, Switzerland. |
